About Mrs. Rosenthal
Starting off the year of 2021-2022, I will begin my 13th year of teaching. My educational journey has spanned between 7th grade through 12th grade, in all areas/subjects of English and Reading. Currently, I teach at Galena High School, the town where I also reside. This will be my seventh year as a Pirate, and I wholeheartedly claim the staff, students, and community members are truly part of what makes this district so special.
In addition to teaching, I have had numerous opportunities to coach, advise and serve on several committees. This school year I will continue to co-advise the GHS Student Council and co-sponsor the Sophomore class.
I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, but made the move to Galena where my husband grew up. My family consists of my husband John, daughter Chesnie (10), son Drake (9), and our mini (not so mini) goldendoodle, Teddy. This summer we kept busy with sports camps, swimming, and more sports camps!
With this small glimpse into my life you should note that my career, my students, and my family are very important to me! I know this will be a great year. Every day is a GREAT day to be a Pirate!
